Welcome to Castello del Vino

Welcome to Castello del Vino (est. 1996), specialised in internationally recognised Italian wines mostly from family-run vineyards. Our selection also includes wines from New Zealand, W. Australia, Chile and Argentina. All wines are imported directly from the vineyards to ensure freshness and the highest quality.

Our holding company and wholesale division, Valdivia Ltd (est. 1975) is HK's largest and most specialised importer/distributor of Italian wines, and was one of HK's first wine importers in the days when only French wines were available. A family owned and managed company, we strive to source wines from smaller independent and family owned producers as well as from larger, world-renowned wineries. We carry over 500 different wines ranging from the Northern Alpine regions down to the sunny Mediterranean islands. Each of our wines is carefully selected by us for its character, style, value, and has travelled only once in its life-time before arriving in our warehouse. Freshness and authenticity are guaranteed. As well as supplying private clientele, our wines are also listed in top hotels, restaurants, clubs and bars.

With over 30 year's experience, Castello del Vino has the expertise and knowledge to offer the best selection of Italian wines in town. To accompany our extensive wine selection, a large range of delicious traditional Italian food products are also available including regular air-shipments of parma ham, various salami's and a wide assortment of cheese.

Meet the Winemaker

Debra Meiburg MW chats with Leonardo Bellaccini of the Tuscan vineyard San Felice about what it is like to grow wine in one of the most gorgeous sites in Tuscany, Italy. Originally an "accidental winemaker," Bellaccini now makes wine from properties in Montalcino, Chianti Classico and Maremma. Chatting with Debra, he reminisces about 1990, the first great vintage during which he made wine; and expresses his hope that the wines he has made since then are recognizable, faithful renditions of the territories where they are grown.
